Similar to Matta-Clark, Nicholas de Monchaux’s project seeks out left-over spaces. In this case it is publicly owned lots that are under-utilized and he seeks to transform them into productive public spaces. This sort of systematic attitude of viewing the entire city as a fragmented site and collecting them based on certain parameters is an interesting view of site.
